Chesnut Class went on a school trip to Harlow Carr Gardens where they took part in a workshop identifying the signs of Spring. The children walked around the gardens to find lots of different plants, animals and objects linked to Spring. They also built nests for different birds and learnt how bees work to collect nectar, taking part in a role play activity. The children got the opportunity to plant a Calendula seed to take him to look after and watch grow. They also got lots of time to split into groups to explore the gardens and enjoyed playing on the parks!
